Mother May I?

Mother May I? appears to be the name of a first season episode of the 30-minute series Matters of Life and Death that aired on PBS in the early '80s. I've found listings for Mother May I? in August through November of 1982. It seems to have "debuted" at different times across the states and is often titled Mother May I? as though a standalone film. In some locations, a 30-minute discussion aired after the special. Mr. Von Dohlen's resumes from the 1990s state that Mother May I? was made in 1981.

Aside from Mr. Von Dohlen, Mother May I?  featured Lori Nan Engler and Paul Gleason.

The uploader states they no longer have additional footage. The admin of a Paul Gleason Facebook group told me that they, too, have been searching in vain.
