Trivia
Matt Shakman was the director of Theater District, a play featuring Mr. Von Dohlen, which was performed in 2004 at the Black Dahlia Theatre.

The television series Psych paid homage to Twin Peaks with its episode Dual Spires. Several of its guest stars are cast members from the series, including Mr. Von Dohlen, Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Catherine Coulson, Dana Ashbrook, Robyn Lively, and Ray Wise.

Fake psychic detective Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his best friend and assistant, Burton 'Gus' Guster (Dulé Hill), receive a mysterious email that compels them to visit a small, secluded town named Dual Spires.

When Shawn and Gus arrive, the town is readying for its annual Cinnamon Festival. They meet the local diner's owner, Bob Barker (Dana Ashbrook), his wife, Michelle (Robyn Lively), and the town sheriff, Andrew Jackson (Lenny Von Dohlen). They learn that the Barkers' niece Paula is missing, prompting Shawn to offer them his services as a "psychic" detective.

Paula's body is found, and as the Barkers mourn her loss, Shawn and Gus continue to investigate, questioning her friends and various connections, which include the town doctor, Donna Gooden (Sheryl Lee), librarian, Maudette Hornsby (Sherilyn Fenn), Paula's friend Jack Smith (Ryan McDonald) and her boyfriend, Randy Jackson (Scott Lyster), the Sheriff's son. The pair uncover many secrets that ultimately tie to Paula's death and that place their own lives in peril before the murderer is apprehended.
